Tasks that tell
the truth.
A task in Progense tracks itself. It knows when it started, when it's at risk, when it's done, and exactly how long each phase took. You don't log time. You don't pick status. You don't write timesheets.

The atomic unit of accountability.
Three rules: status is computed, time is captured, completion is client-locked.
Status, computed live.
Every task recalculates its status each time it's read. Before the last 20% of its duration, it's on track. In the last 20%, it's at risk. Past its end date, it's off track. The math is always fresh, the status is always honest.
Time is captured, not logged.
Toggle Start begins a work session. Closing your browser auto-pauses it. Starting a new task auto-pauses the old one. Nobody fills out a timesheet — because the timesheet is what you did.
Clients approve, completion locks.
Only a client can mark a task Completed. Once completed, the record is permanent — no edits, no deletions, no “let me reopen that.” You have a signed-off deliverable and a record of who signed it off.
Tasks, answered
Built for agencies. Over-engineered for honesty.
Every decision in Progense exists for one reason: to tell the truth about where your projects actually are. Not to make you look good on a Monday morning slide. To show you — and your clients — reality.
